VARSITY PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

WEEK 6

 

Divison 1:

Offence - Quarterback Blake Penner completed 15 of 24 passes for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. He added 2 rushes for 21 yards to pace the Dakota Lancers offence. 

Defence - Nevan Brown recorded 14 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery for the Lancers in their week 6 victory. 

Divison II:

Offence - Brandons Vincent Massey quarterback, Justin Sharp had a stand out game completing 14 of 19 passes for 272 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Defence - Kelvin defensive end, Connor Burnett recorded 9 tackles, including 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, and 1 fumble return for a touchdown. 

Special Teams - Sturgeon Heights kicker  Jerome Penner battled the wind on Saturday while averaging 48 yards per punt, and a 40 average on kickoffs. He also ran one fake punt, and completed a pass for 18 yards and a first down to keep a Huskie drive alive. 

Divison III:

Offence - Maples running back Chrys Forbes Delaney recorded 25 carries for 268 yards, including an 18 yard run for a touchdown. 

Defence - Kildonan East defender Darius Toten had 13 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 1 forced fumble, and one interception to help lead his team to victory. 

Special Teams - Punter and Place Kicker Jeff Livingston converted 5 Dryden extra point opportunities, averaged 37 yards on 7 kick offs, and punted the ball 8 times for a 33 yard average.
