The Winnipeg High School Football League is pleased to announce the rosters for the 2019 Senior Bowl, taking place on Sunday, May 26 at 5:30  p.m. at Investors Group Field. The game will also be streamed live at www.lrsd.tv. 

The ANAVETS Bowl-winning Vincent Massey Trojans will have the most player representation, with a total of ten athletes. Names include championship MVP and U of M commit Jackson Tachinski, who will play on the football team as a quarterback as well as the basketball team as a point guard. Fellow Bison commits Breydon Stubbs (running back), Jack Shaffer (defensive line) and Mark Rauhaus (offensive line) will also join him. 

VMC’s players will be part of a team honouring the late Ron Bresch, who was responsible for founding the Murdoch MacKay program, taking it all the way to the Div 1 level. 

On the other side, the late Lawrence Sangster — who helped found Kildonan East’s Program — will be honoured. Garden City leads the way with nine members on Team Sangster, including Division 1 co-Offensive Player of the Year Jarrett Alcaraz, who is committed to Manitoba as a defensive back. Other teammates joining him on both the Bisons and Senior Bowl roster are fellow defensive back Eli Rivera and receiver Payton Yakimishyn. 

Heading up one coaching staff will be Dennis Radlinsky of the North Winnipeg Nomads, along with former Blue Bomber & BC Lion Kito Poblah. The other sideline will be patrolled by Geordie Wilson, who has put together an exciting staff featuring WHSFL alumni and current Rifles athletes and coaches.
